The Strength of Mobility

Peace4Kids, a non-profit organization in South Los Angeles, listened to the voices of youth in foster care share stories of abruptly being uprooted to new homes, schools, and neighborhoods throughout childhood and recognized the skills and talents they had gained as a result. We live in an increasingly mobile society and alumni of foster care are uniquely adept at managing the constant movement necessary in today's world. This mobility was celebrated on December 2, 2017 at a Block Party for alumni of foster care to come together and share their journeys with live music, activities, and food prepared by the Peace4Kids family in the Mobile Village Kitchen. Hope Education Research Solutions is proud to announce a partnership with Peace4Kids to launch an important survey examining the perception of foster youth in the general public. We look forward to sharing our results in 2018.
